Free Metronome Program?
I know someone who is looking for a free download of a metronome for a Windows PC. Does anybody know of where one is hiding on the 'net?
thanks

Try HammerHead Rhythm Station. It is a drum machine of sorts, and is free for the downloading... It makes a perfect metronome and a funky little drum looper to play with.... I pick a nice first beat sound and use another sound for the other beats in the measure and press play and adjust the tempo. Easy...

I tried at least six different metronomes, eg, Orange Metronome (http://www.metronome.vispa.com/) and Weird Metronome (http://www.pinkandaint.com/weirdmet.shtml), and both were pretty good, but the best I found was the Crystal Metronome (http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/M...Metronome.html). The Crystal Metronome offers a great variety of sounds, eg, kick, snare, shaker, marimba, etc. You can test drive it for free, but it's well worth the $9.95. The only one I've seen that could be better is an Apple-only product, Dr. Betotte (http://homepage.mac.com/seishu/ssworks/DrBetotte.html), but it's way cool.
