First electric guitar for a young acoustic player?

I would recommend a Strat, epiphone and les paul a no go. I'll tell you why, by just stating that your daughter is petite, I don't think a epiphone or les paul would be good, they're just to heavy. Even with a Fender strat, you are able to choose either single coil or humbuckers. Necks are great for your hands, unlike a epiphone or les paul which feels like playing on a baseball bat. Strat is where it's at. They do have some packages that'll be perfect to start her off with.
