Default Is it a finish or a body crack?

Hello,

I was offered an Ovation Standard Elite 2778 guitar in excellent condition exept one problem. It has a crack near the bridge. Do you think its a finish or a body crack? It doesn't have a crack on the wood inside. Do you think this guitar worth buying? Thanks!

Most likely a finish crack. Wood cracks most often follow the grain in tops. I would not be bothered by it myself.

Can it get worse over time? Do these finish cracks need to be repaired?
