Default LD Systems Maui 28 G2

I'm considering buying one of these for solo acoustic/vocal gigs. Currently dragging out the full band PA and it's a bit much for some of the venues I play solo - 45 minutes setup before and half hour tear down after. So in the interest of simplifying I was looking for a column system paired with a TC Helicon Play Acoustic.

Has anyone tried this particular combination and what are your thoughts?
Any reliability data on the Maui 28 G2? How does it compare to Bose sound wise?

Thanks!

I bought the Maui 11 G2 a few months ago and am loving it. I do solo and trio (three vocals, acoustic guitar and a bass player) acoustic gigs. I've had it pretty loud and it sounds fantastic. Seems to be great build quality (German) and I've been told by a number of my musician buddies that the sound is very impressive. I have zero regrets on this purchase. This minimized my setup from two Mackie SRM450 tops and two JBL EON10 monitors to just the Maui. I think my sound is much more crisp and clear. It can get loud.. so I'd imagine the 28 would be pretty amazing. For what I'm doing, the 28 would probably be overkill.

I believe the Maui series is made in China, engineered in Germany. But yes they do have a better or more durable build quality compared to others in that price class.

I'm also considering the Maui 28 G2 - does anybody have any real world experience of this model? Is it significantly "better" than the Maui 11 G2??
