Rickover's Dream - Michael hedges intro tips?
I find it really hard to get as clear tone as Michael in the harmonics intro. I think my attempt sounds much more muted, and I also have a problem with the skin making a sound when moving over the fretboard. Kind of a squeaking sound.
if anyone have any tips on how to play this song, they are very welcome. |

What I have seen on youtube (Hedges himself and covers by others) have involved the use of guitar pickups and usually added reverb.
That certainly helps in harmonic duration and volume. So apples to apples when comparing things. Other than that, practice.

Are you using any notation/TAB sheet music to learn this piece?
