Default Kevin Michael Touring - gloss vs satin top

My buddy is looking into buying Kevin Michael touring carbon fiber guitar. Anyone see these in person or have one to offer comparison of gloss vs satin top? which will last better over time and stand up to strumming/scratches? which looks better?

I've had the satin finish top since about Christmas. I haven't seen/played the gloss to compare. As far as how it holds up: I bring it in to work most days (occasional guitar therapy for a few guys I work with); have traveled from Korea to DC to rural Alaska and back to Korea in the soft gigbag, plus a few local road trips; spend 15-20 hours/week playing it around the house with large dog tails whacking it and occasional table/counter corner bumps; and lead worship in a military barracks dayroom weekly. About 4 months of this and as far as I can tell, it still looks the same as the day I got it.

The strings are pretty well elevated off the soundboard, so I seldom hit it when strumming. I don't baby this guitar and I don't have any dings or nicks to date.
