Default String buzz?

Hi all, I've got an electric guitar that is in okay overall condition.
The strings buzz when struck and I'm guessing they are hitting the frets. The strings have individual bridges that can be adjusted with a small allen key. Would this be the first thing to look at?
Could it be a warped neck? Can I test for this?

Put a straight edge on the neck, for a start. It sounds like you're not real familiar with guitar set up, so the best thing you could do would be to bring it to a shop for a proper set up.

If multiple strings buzz, it is most likely the neck relief (truss rod adjustment). Not hard to do, but I'm going to assume you know little about set-ups...........so, go to a pro. A full set-up these days is about $75.00. Don't go messing with the individual saddles until you ckeck the relief. Neck relief is SORTA like neck warp, only normal. That is why the truss rod is there.

Then it MAY be the individual saddles? COULD also be a twisted neck? Did you change string guages? I would just get a full set-up. I do my electrics at least 3 times every year.

Hi again,

does it make any difference that the neck is glued to the body?

Not necessarily. Why don't you post a pic. So, you have a set-neck guitar. Unless it needs a full neck reset, which is quite possible and expensive, the adjustable saddles and the truss rod SHOULD do the trick. You can even compensate to some extent for a bad neck set, but the guitar will not play well up and down the fretboard.
