Default Anyone have a Danelectro"Honey Tone" Mini amp?

I recently ordered a Danelectro "Honey Tone" Mini Amp.My expectations were modest considering the low price(a little over 20 bucks)but I was surprised at the variety of tones the little box can produce! The amp sounds a bit thin and tinny but if you plug in the headphones it sounds a lot better!Anyone else have or tried one?

I've got one somewhere in the closet. I also know a blues harp player that would plug his mic into one, crank the volume, and then mic that and send it to the board.

They're quite nice. I bought one for my cigar-box guitars, all of which have piezo pickups.
My little resonator CBG sounds particularly good pushed through the thing with a bit of distortion.

I was using it for a practice amp with my semi-hollow the other day... Not a super clean-jazz tone, but OK for practice.

They seem to be heavily geared towards people who like distortion and fuzz. The speaker is so-so, but at minimum overdrive, through good headphones it sounds rather nice.

I think ALL those mini guitar amps are geared toward people who like distortion and fuzz. I've got several mini amps and all are hi distortion.

I finally had to get a VOX Mini5 modeling amp in order to get a little "clean". But it was a lot more $$. Plenty of distortion and fuzz, and compressor and flange and chorus and reverb and tremolo and a nice CLEAN. two kinds of clean... A line in and an amp simulated clean.
