Default NGD: Gibson SGJ

I got a new Gibson SGJ from Sweetwater yesterday. Nashville-made electric for $489. How can I go wrong?

Congratulations. How can one go wrong with a Gibson electric? Nice looking guitar. After playing it a while, give us an update.

I handed down to my son a SG I bought new in the early 70's. I've not played an SG for many years, but I always loved them.

Once again, congratulations on your new guitar.

What a beauty and that price rocks. Are those pics of your actual guitar? I know that Sweet H20 will let you pick out the same guitar you're buying. HNGD

Sweet!!! Gibson has introduced those SGJ and LPJ (Les Paul) guitars at a great price. How are the '61 pickups? It's a new pickup by Gibson.

I've always wanted an SG. So many guitars, so little time...

Yes that is my actual guitar in the pics.

The 61 Zebra pickups sound pretty nice.

The 12th fret inlay says "120th Anniversary".

I put D'Addario 10-46 on it and adjusted the intonation and it's ready to gig. Plays and sounds great.

Wow....great price!

I've liked every SG I've ever played, but unfortunately, I can't stand the looks of those devil horns. But that's my problem.

Interesting sweiss. I've loved the looks of the SG ever since the '60s.

Quite frankly I was looking at that one myself on the Sweetwater site - color and grain would've made a nice pair with my SG Faded bass...
