Wow! Great collection of amps there. Interesting that the reverb unit has blonde tolex and white knobs, but dates the same as the amps. I would have guessed it was older, but Fender was not known for being super consistent with stuff like that.

That's just sick. Congrats on a great group of amps.

Nice!

I have a Fender amp farm half that size, but they are all reissue's. Can I bring my Strat over to your place?

That is some group of amps! I wish I had kept mine from the early 60's. Do any of the cabinets have JBL's? -- Darwin

Of all the people I know, only electric guitar players get excited over "boxes."
That's because we know what's in them.

I remember seeing Dick Dale in Philly years ago who had the original Showman at the gig. He went on and on about the amp and Leo Fender and the original tubes etc. Needless to say I was captivated. Nice set of amps for sure. My Fender collection is a reissue Deluxe Reverb and that's it. I have some other brands which are really cool but Fender had it all worked out.

A MOST excellent "Throw Back Thursday" for electric guitarists!!!

What an amazing collection of Fender gear... although I have to agree that I think the Reverb unit is older; I remember '63 units that had the white knobs... and it's interesting to note that there were MANY cream tolex combo amps in the early 60's, at least in Orange County (where Fullerton is)!

I came within a whisker of getting a powder-blue Stratocaster and a blonde Bandmaster set in 1964, when the 4th (!) guitar player in our garage band decided to play bass... they were both 1963's in perfect shape (of course!) and the price was $175 for the both the amp and the guitar... with covers and cases, natch... (I believe that retail would have been approx. $700 for them, new).

Didn't have all the $$$ and couldn't get my folks to pitch in and cover the rest.... sigh... what a different turn my musical life would have taken...

Thanks for the memories! Fantastic collection you have (my back hurts just looking at them, thinking of transporting them anywhere!)... thanks for the picture!

the cab has oxfords. some people call them oxfarts but i think they sound great. i'm sure i could buy 3 or 4 different speakers and they may sound better or not just because they are new. i don't have the money to experiment.

play music!
