I've seen posts like this in the past from people here, regarding other carbon fiber guitar manufacturers (not Emerald). I've never heard of anything bad coming from it.

Once the resin hardens, no more can be formed.
It's possible only during the short period the resin is still in liquid form.
It's not possible for more to appear after it's hard.

I can never tell on my computer if what I am seeing is what I am suppose to be seeing due to resolution etc...if it is all those little white lines scattered throughout the back, I am afraid I would send that back to see what could be done there. They look to me like a bunch of little scratches (which I know they are not). If it were one or two, OK, but that does look like quite a few to me. It is a brand new guitar.

Maybe that is just me though...

I've got an X20 Artisan coming in a month or so. I'll do a careful "skin check" for bubbles (aka unsaturated carbon fiber?) & post upon inspection.

Let us know! It also (probably) will not appear on veneers of quilted maple

True. None of the wood veneer tops should have this issue...if it's really even an issue (problem) at all on guitars with exposed weave. However, most of the veneer tops are built with the exposed carbon weave on the back and sides, so it may show up on the b&s on those guitars.

Oh yes.. I forgot about the back and sides as I have an opus model with the crystal ice finish. So even if mine had these air pockets in the back, it is harder to tell. Since the artisans have a gloss finish on the back and sides, I assume it will be noticable there if the air pockets are present.

I'm glad you are able and did comment about the crystal ice b&s finish on some models because it did cross my mind after an posted. I suspected such marking might not show, but it seems you're able to confirm it.

It is most noticable under the gloss finish but I haven't really looked at the b/s. I'll confirm with you as soon as I check

Yeah I checked... I can't see anything under the crystal ice finish.
