Default Holloween Silly Tune: Dracula, Frankenstein, Bigfoot, Frankenstein, etc. in one song

Dang, having trouble getting a screenshot. Will try again later.

Anyway, this is with my homie T-Dan Hofstedt on slide. Great player. Enjoy!

This is also up on my FB page, if you wanna bop over there too.

That's great -- really fun. And those Kulak's folks do a terrific job, don't they?

They sure do, Brent. Have you played/recorded there? I don't know that there's any venue in the country like that place. Paul Kulak is a wizard.

Thanks!

Glenn, thanks. You know how you sometimes remember exactly where you heard or wrote a song? I wrote that one about two years ago at Disneyland.

I have extended ending on this one I've been working on that goes something like a call and response:

I ain't never seen a monster (a green and hairy monster)
I need a Twelve-Step monster sponsor
Cuz I ain't never a monster like you befooooooore.....

I get real quiet, then shout: "Quick! Close the Door!" and bang on the top of the guitar. The one time I did it, this lady jump about five feet off her chair.

Hehe.

Thanks, Glenn!

The level they operate on is amazing. So is their obscurity, especially after all this time, especially in LA. I don't understand it.

I have a regular Monday night internet radio obligation -- http://studio-noho.net/liveradio.html -- that ends around 8:30 or so. Kulak's, in LA terms, is right around the corner so I try to pop in after that for the open mic and drop a five in the coffee can. And the internet radio show does regular shoutouts -- free ads -- for Kulak's asking people to go online and kick in a few bucks. But no, I've never performed there, and I've never met Paul.

Paul is kinda like the Wizard of Oz. "Ignore that man behind the curtain." He prefers to remain in back and work as a director during the open mic, directing the camera shots, etc. Nice group of volunteers do most of the heavy lifting.

BTW, they have a new thing called "Two for Tuesdays," run by a good friend of mine. They're booked months in advance, but you get to shoot two songs instead of one.

If you have any more questions, feel free to PM me.

take care,
scott
