Default Brand spanking new 80/20 strings on the J-45

A set of D'Addario EJ11. 12 16 24 32 42 53

Replaced the Santa Cruz low tension.

I like the sound of these, not as bright as I thought they would be. I think in a week or so they'll be just right. I'll have to work in some blues again.

Nice to know. I stupidly sold my 45 a while back...but I’ve got a new one arriving next week.

I tried various strings on my previous 45 and ended up settling on Elixir PB Lights, which is pretty much my go-to string choice for all of my guitars. But the new one is arriving upgraded with bone nut, saddle and unslotted pins...so who knows what strings it’ll like. I’m starting with the Elixirs...and will move on from there.

I love these strings on the J-45 as well.... I can't hear or feel a difference between these and the Gibson branded 80/20s but the D'Addario's cost half the price.

Yes but if we wear our Gibson baseball cap too we get fanboy points eligible for redemption online, lol
