Blue - you are out of control.....and the rest of us wish we were too (maybe).
I hope it's even better than you think it will be.
Now enjoy and control yourself.

I am out of control and have been for a while. If my typical pattern of behavior continues, it will end up in the Taylor being sold IF I fall in love with the new Martin. I'm hoping that the golden era bracing and adirondack top will be as responsive as the Taylor. As much as I want to keep loving my Taylor, I just don't like the ES2.

Truth be told, I ordered this on impulse based on the specs and price. I wasn't in the market for a 000, but I just got a feeling that this one could be special.

I have a 30 day return policy with Sweetwater, so if I'm not 100% in love with it, I can return it.

That sounds like a fantastic guitar for an even more fantastic price. Congrats!

Yes, it sure does sound good on paper. The crazy thing is that Sweetwater deletes their listing when it's a discontinued item, so I can't go back and review what I just bought haha.

Just ordered a Martin 000-28 Exclusive Custom model from Sweetwater. I got a nice deal on it, so I'm content with the price, but I was pretty mesmerized with the specs so I bought it.

It's essentially a 000-28, but with the following custom specs for Sweetwater:

-Adirondack Top
-Golden Era Bracing
-Herringbone Trim
-1.75" MLO w/PA Taper
-Aging Toner
-Open Gear Tuners
-LR Baggs Lyric Installed

Ok, so on paper, this is my dream 000, so I took a chance on it. I know I just posted a thread about not being able to get along with smaller bodied guitars, but I REALLY want to give this one a chance. Impulse buy? Yes, to the MAX. But, I essentially paid about $300 more than if I'd gotten the standard forum dealer's price on a standard 000-28.

Out of all of the 000/OMs I've owned, my favorite was probably the 000-17 and 000-28, so I was willing to give this one a chance. Plus, my birthday was Friday, so I'm still high on life haha.
Aren't you the guy who figured out they liked mahogany more like last week ??

I'm a huge Martin OM/000 guy, those specs are very nice, I'm assuming 12 fret or they would called it an OM?

This should be a nice guitar, take it for what it is, don't expect dread bass or whatever you like about Taylors, it's neither, give this one a chance, good luck.............

I'm not much of a spec junkie, but I did notice it has a Baggs Lyric. I put one in my D-18 and really like it a lot. I'll probably put one in my Grandpa's HD-28 I just got.

Yes, that's me, but I really prefer mahogany in dreads. I tend to like rosewood in smaller bodied guitars, but yes I do love the drier sound of mahogany.

As long as I don't just absolutely hate this guitar I'm going to keep it. It's got some really cool specs and I'm sure that something like this would maintain it's value pretty well, especially for what I paid. It's pretty unique which is really cool.

I think my only concern is the whole "Sweetwater Exclusive" thing. I don't know how that affects value but I sure hope "Sweetwater" isn't stamped on this thing somewhere haha.
