I got my 914CE back from Pat Diburro.
He spot finished a couple of finish cracks near the bridge that required the bridge to be removed and replaced.
I swear the guitar sounds deeper and fuller after the repair. Can a simple bridge reseating alter tone? |

That great!.. I've been wondering about his work? Yes I believe any work to a bridge could change the over all tone. Sounds like your did .. for the better.
So ..How's the Clear coat look? That's very importain. the UV cure is a little easyer to blend in.

Pat does very good work. There's no sign of the finish cracks.

I'm not surprised!!! He cares for the guitars he fixes. He performes his services for the GUITAR first and the owner second. Think about that!!!
Pat is a extremely talented repairperson/tech and a great all around guy. I live about 40 min from him and he has done anything from setup's to finish work, to saddle/nut refits, to complete re-fret's for me. I've seen some of the guitars that go into his shop and then out again... I would trust no other!!! Nick

I've heard nothing but great things about Pat DiBurro. I haven't had to utilize his services, but all the reviews about his work here on AGF have been outstanding! Congratulations on the excellent outcome of your repairs.

I've had the guitar back for a full week now, and I'm convinced that the bridge removal and reseating has made a noticable difference in initial attack, sustain and depth of tone.

So, that's *more* than satisfactory, hambone. Glad to hear it!
Was the bridge lifting before the repair?

I could slip a piece of paper under the edges into about 1/8-1/4" from a year+/- after I brought the guitar home.

That definitely explains it, hambone. Congrats. Must feel like a brand new axe.

My main acoustics are a D18A and a D28 Marquis Madagascar. The 914CE had fallen out of the rotation prior to the repair. It's getting some playing time again.
