Im such an idiot...lol
I thought he charged a lot less back in those days lol...

I did get the opportunity to buy some used Walkers several years back, I wish I did

Big time congrats on the Kim Walker.

The best guitar I've ever had a chance to play was a Kim Walker. He's at the very top of my list of dream guitars.

I'm always a sucker for a little sapwood too. I bet that thing is sublime.

Thanks for sharing!

Almost bought that very guitar in 2007-2008 when it was in LC.
Been looking at it for sale in Japan for years. Guess you beat me to it!!!

I'm lucky to own 2 of Kim's OMs. A maple and a braz twin guitar.
The braz was fantastic from the start but the maple guitar took some tweaking of the truss rod before it showed its true capability.
Never heard such a dramatic transformation from a set up!

Kim is a wizard and I congratulate you for owning that gorgeous guitar.

BTW love you playing!!

Ray

In my first few visits to LC I played a few Traugotts, Walkers and Somogyis. I ended up with a Traugott R over the Walkers mainly because both Walkers were 00 size. Had Mike had an OM or SJ Walker I may very well have gone in that direction. Since then I've played a few of Kim's OM's and, good lord, they were incredible. I'd love to try an SJ.

Thanks!

BTW, I played your guitar back when it was still in Kim's shop. What a great instrument!

John,
Your maple SJ is a truly stunning instrument.
Maybe one day I'll get to join you guys at one of your gatherings!

You're most welcome! Alas, the credit goes to Kim. I simply drew an "S" and Kim turned the design into art:

Do join the Walkerheads at our next gathering. PM me when you get a chance.
