Traugott and the tree !!! I shudder to imagine the price, but I am sure it will be well worth it to someone unlike myself who would need to remortage the house to buy it. Congrats to whom ever it goes to !!

I'd be real interested in playing or hearing a Mahogany built Traugott. I've played plenty of his BRW models (and even own one). I've often wondered how different it might be. Probably less than I'd imagine at the hands of such an accomplished luthier. I'd also imagine wood from "the tree" is quite a bit stiffer than most available Mahogany. Anyway, congratulations on getting such a fine guitar made.

Bill,

I have a "Tree" / Adi model R coming from Jeff this year (hopefully), so I could possibly do a little A/B recording between that one and my Braz/German model R I currently own with my primitive recording setup so you could check out the differences/similarities if you'd like. PM me your address when you get a chance.

For anyone who already owns a BRW guitar from their favourite builder, I think "The Tree" is the perfect complement.

I'm sure this guitar will sell fast.

Yes, I remember both your BRW and "Tree" Olson's and the nice comparison video you made. The differences were subtle but nice enough to warrant owning both (IMO, of course). As you said, perfect compliments.

What variety of spruce is that? It sure is evenly grained. Very nice indeed!
