One more quick hijack and then I will hush. (Not really.)

We attended the Woodstock Invitational so we could meet our customers on the east end of the country. On Saturday we met gregc, a McGit customer since 2006, and his wonderful wife. After all these years it was great to meet them personally.

Then on Sunday Kang came the stage to greet us. THIS is the reason Tim and I enjoy our business. Having time with the McGit "brothers" who we have gained through the interest of guitars is absolutely awesome.

Kenny .... it is 2:00 AM and while Tim snores ... I ... think ... you ...know ... why ... Adrianne ... and ... I ... are ... still ... awake.

I had a great time at the Woodstock show reconnecting with Tim, Mary, and Adrianne! It was my first time at a show and I was blown away by the amazing guitars being shown. Now for a quick update!

The neck has been sanded down and the glow dots in place. check 'em out! pretty cool.

I really appreciate the fact that Tim does every part of the guitar in-house. Starting from single pieces of wood, building, sanding, sealing, and finishing the guitar by hand. Thank you, Tim!

I believe this is french polish pore filler

And now for my favorite part... pictures of the wood. WOW THE WOOD!!!

enjoy!

Wow, a full body French Polish? I thought Tim only FP'd the top?

I'm actually not too sure if it is a full body FP. Might even just be the application of the pore filler. It is just exciting to see this come together. The wood is stunning.

Neil, (Kwak) this is just a french polish pore filler. Tim has been known to do this from time to time. He likes to have more control than a typical spray gives him.

Kenny (Kang) This guitar neck is still more fun for me than it should be.

Ah: pumice, then. Still lots of fun. Lots of work as well, but very satisfying too.

Yep, just a final pumice/Shelac/Alcohol/Acetone final pore fill. Wait till you see this new finish I have been testing ... Kang will have pics in a few more days to share.

Looking great! I love the glow in the dark side dots. These are one of my favorite new features. Sun goes down... you can keep on playin'

Hi Jon,
Glad you are enjoying the build from "across the pond". Isn't the world wide web a wonderful thing? It helps us connect with our customers throughout the building process. Mary documents every step of the build and sends photo updates every few days to try to convey to them the feeling of being right with us in the shop throughout the build from inception to loading the box on the big brown truck. Its a lot of work for Mary but its a labor she enjoys and does an outstanding job of. I think at last count she had sent well over 900 pictures to Kenny so far.

Absolutely. Who needs daylight when you have glow in the dark side dots? Sorry I missed you at Woodstock JR. It was a busy blur for me the entire weekend.
