Do bear in mind that nut width doesn't necessarily correlate with string spacing at the nut, so you might find a 1.75 nut on one brand has the same spacing as a narrower, 1.72, nut on another brand. As always playing them is your best guide.

Yes.
The "16" series are all solid. The "6" series have laminated backs and sides.

There’s a brand new Breedlove USA Series Moonlight Concert on Reverb now for $1055.00. An absolute fantastic NAMM winner.
I have the Breedlove USA Series Firelight (all mahogany) and it’s killer. I also just bought a brand new, never opened 2006 Taylor 410 (2006) for $1,040.00. It missed inventory for 11 years at a huge Taylor dealer. Very nice set of Ovangkol to boot. It will arrive tomorrow. For American made, full size models, with HS cases these are excellent deals IMO.

Great find. I had an American C25 a few years back and never thought i let it go until a great deal of a Focus came up and bit me.

I once owned all-solid Godins (S&P Showcase and Woodland), which are worthy considerations at this price range. But I think Ponos are of even higher quality, in terms of craftsmanship and sound.
It's just too bad Pono makes no effort to market itself. It has no website, and even when it did, it was pretty awful.

Soooooo.....I ended up purchasing a slightly used Seagull SWS Maritime Rosewood SG QI for well within my budget. Can't wait for it to arrive!

I only say this because I have been fooled into purchases by sound clips. Never-the-less, I doubt you can go wrong with a LS or LL16 |

Congratulations! Be sure to provide us with your thoughts once you've gotten to know the guitar.

There are two pre-owned Eastman dreads in the AGF classifieds right now, one rosewood and one mahogany. You could get both for a little over a grand...
