1. Money-The Beatles
2. You Got the Silver-Rolling Stones
3. Working Hard for the Money-Donna Summer
4. Take the Money and Run-Steve Miller
5. Money For Nothing-Dire Straits
6. Money Talks-AC/DC
7. Money's Too Tight to Mention-Simply Red

I've got ninety thousand pounds in my pajamas
I've got forty thousand French francs in my fridge
I've got lost of lovely lira, now the deutsche mark's getting dearer
And my dollar bills would buy the Brooklyn Bridge

There is nothing quite as wonderful as money
There is nothing quite as beautiful as cash
Some people say it's folly but I'd rather have the lolly

With money you can make a splash

There is nothing quite wonderful as money
There is nothing like a newly minted pound
Everyone must hanker for the butchness of a banker
It's accountancy that makes the world go round

You can keep your Marxist ways
For it's only just a phase
For it's money, money, money makes the world go round

Please accept my apologies-I just could not resist!

My plan is/was to dress up as an old blues musician aka Old Joe Porter, and play upbeat blues tunes from Robert Johnson, Rev Gary Davis, and Hot Tuna to include:

1) Hesitation Blues
2) They're Red Hot
3) San Francisco Bay Blues
4) Bread Line Blues
4) Tom Cat Blues
5) Prohibition Blues
6) Waitin' for a Train
7) I Am the Light of the World
8) Red River Blues
9) Search My Heart
10) Freight Train

PS. Would love to find someone in Charlottesville to handle the vocals.....

As much as we didn't want to play it - a passerby requested Wagon Wheel and we made quite a bit off that one.

Thumbs up Best Busking songs

Hello,
I am English but do my busking in Summer in the markets of the Perigord south west France. My most popular busking songs are:

American Pie - Don McLean
Freight Train Blues - Trad
Honey Just Allow me one more chance (From Freewheeling Bob Dylan)
You don't know what it's like - Bee Gees!
Don't think twice it's alright - Bob Dylan
Catch the Wind - Donovan
Promised Land - Chuck Berry
Tangled up in Blue - Bob Dylan
Jesse James - Billy Gashade
Me and Julio - Paul Simon

I use harmonica a lot so that helps my voice. Singing for a couple of hours without microphone makes it a bit croaky. No licences needed in the towns I visit. Best wishes all.

Hi Steve,
I would put Ian Tyson's Four Strong Winds on my list of Canadian tunes.
