Thumbs up Sarah McLachlan

I am listening to Sarah McLachlan's Mirror Ball. I think she is awesome. What do you think?

Yep, awesome. I think her high point was Fumbling Toward Ecstasy, but her new CD is pretty good.

Camera pan in on ASN.

ASN looks behind him, left ... then right. Then whispers "I like Sarah McLachlan too".

ASN turns off monitor and hurries out of the room.

Cut.

Oh yeah! Just bought her acoustic EP from iTunes. Really enjoyed her Christmas song with BNL. Great song.

The Mirrorball DVD is excellent. Maybe not the best 5.1 sound I have heard. But, still good. And the playing is excellent.

I don't want this thread to die so I will constructively bump it by requesting:

Could A Mod move this thread to -Now Hear This- where it's supposed to go?

I would really appreciate it.

I really like Sarah and her music, great talent. Most of her stuff is pretty easy to play on the guitar. But the singing part is a whole nother story. She has some great pipes. On the Santana DVD they play a duet, almost gives you goosebumps.

An opposing opinion: I think that, though she has a lovely voice, her songs are boring.

I think she is wonderful.

I saw her in concert about 4 years ago and she REALLY blew my wife and I away.

Man, it was incredible....so much energy and powerful.

She played 3 encores.....the last was her solo on piano with about 10,000 candles on stage and only about 3 studio lights (and the exit signs)on

She played Angel. WOW

My feelings exactly. I have all of her stuff including the Mirrorball CD and DVD. Sarah is definitely one of my favorites. You guys should check out the freedom sessions too...if you haven't.

On another note...I really dislike the 5.1 mix on the DVD, seems like they just added reverb to the rear channnels and let it ride. I ususally watch it in HK's "Logic 7" mode...sounds better to my ears anyway.
