For sale is a Alvarez Yairi DY-62. I believe it was made in 1991. I bought this guitar from the original owner about three years ago. It comes with the original factory electronics and is a very nice guitar to play. It has a tad of road wear, but it plays and sounds beautiful. Has been setup professionally by one of the best luthiers in Los Angeles.

Here is a vid of the guitar playing. Unfortunately, this is with a full band and the volume isn't high enough on the Yairi. Nice sounding factory pickup, though.



I'm selling it because my playing in the last few years has moved more in the fingerstyle direction. I find the strings a little too cozy for my fat fingers (actually, my fingers are all muscle). If you're looking for a great acoustic that plays like an electric, this fits your bill.

It has a tiny, tiny crack on the back of the headstock, so small I can't get a decent picture of it. The original owner shipped the guitar directly to St. Louis Music, the manufacturer, and it was professionally fixed there at the factory, then shipped back to him. A non-factor.

Yes, comes free with a very nice HS case, almost identical to the factory case you get with a high-end Martin dread such as a D-28, that hard molded plastic case with plus interior. I forgot to post pics on the case (been so busy), but will try if necessary this afternoon.

Electronics work perfectly. I've been gigging with it occasionally and it's great. I'm sick about selling it, but I'm going to wider necks so this one doesn't get played much. I don't even own an electric, but this one plays like an electric, in terms of the feel of the neck. Really easy to play. Yeah, the sig is cool.

It WILL come with a very nice HS case, but I'm too slammed to take pix on that till tomorrow.
