Default Amazing Grace - acoustic solo (arr. by M. Tallstrom)

Hi friends,

i just recorded a very simple version of "Amazing Grace":

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SsW6Nv_rK2g

I's based on M. Tallstrom's arrangement in "open Gsus4".

Hope you like it & lots of greetings, J. :-)

It might be a simple version, but to play something like this takes more than playing the notes. I thought you played it perfectly with lots of air and space where it should be. I'm a fan of Malcoms and do a few of his arrangements. My respect for him grows when i learn an arrangement of his. Very clever. Well done.

Nice . . very very nice. I am going to learn it. Did you use Martin's Tab and follow it note for note, or adapt it in some way?

Let me join the rest and say -great job! You have really nice timing and feel for this piece.

Like Spock, you inspired me to look at this arrangement and it's terrific. It sounds great as is but lends itself to some improv if you're so inclined.

Nice work and thanks for the inspiration.

That was indeed a simple version of Amazing Grace. And indeed that simple version was amazingly lovely. One can throw in bells and whistles and even a kitchen sink to "embellish" a song, but that won't necessarily surpass the simple rendition of a clean, straight forward, heartfelt rendition like you've played. Nicely done.
