More pics...

first the finish rosette, clean and simple (this is a nylon string after all )

the body takes shape

lastly, I've opted for this bevel style instead

lovely looking guitar D, I'm sure it'll be a fine instrument.

BTW I've noticed a sad lack of contribution by 'Custom Shoppers' usual suspects in threads like yours, a quick look at their - profile / statistics / threads / posts, reveals all and tells it's own story really.

no need to comment on this D

Very nice rosette and purfling choices!!! I've always liked the organic nature of the "Lowdenesque" aesthetic.

Thanks yes, all too easy to add bling when you're going down the custom build route.

In fact the 'standard' Avalon nylon has an abalone rosette, whilst nice, I thought an even more understated look would suit it better.

The money has been spent on the quality of the top and back/sides and a functional bevel rather than goudy trimmings.

Its all about tone and playability, with a gentle oozing of highly skilled craftsmen's work.

No, it's finished but I'm away so not going to be able to receive it till Friday. Then going away again for 6 days on Saturday! Argh!

By the way Avalon have renamed their guitar names/models. So it's not in fact a A32J (that's the old name), it's the very first "Fusion" out of the 'factory', it's full designation is "Fusion A2-20". Fusion are the nylon series guitars, A is for Avalon, the 2 is the body size I think and the 20 is the top wood, 20 being Alpine spruce. At least that's how I think it works.
