I made a post about using headphones with in-ear stage belt pack and I just came across this article tonight, for those who read that post and have been thinking about using headphones on stage ...

That article basically says that the typical use is for drummers who need to hear a click track, but then also need the stage mix thrown into the 'phones. The only guitarist I've ever seen wearing headphones on stage was Pete Townshend several years ago when playing acoustic (but he didn't on the Quadrophenia tour last year).

Jeff "Skunk" Baxter used 'cans onstage with the Doobie Brothers. It worked for his personality.

I have a tendency to speed up and slow down when I play and I had to accompany a brilliant young singer (17) the other day. We played Put Your Records on (Corinne Bailey Rae). I recently got a BlueTooth set of earbuds that have great range and using the metronome in GuitarToolkit on my iPhone, I had a great clicktrack with only a goofy looking thing sitting in my left ear (tucked the other earbud away down the back of my shirt.
