Any Idea of Value?
Hi everyone;
Just wanted a general idea of what an early 70's Fender Deluxe Reverb in near-mint condition (including a full compliment of factory-installed tubes!) with VERY little play-time might be? I'd appreciate it if you'd chime in, IF you are knowledgeable about this stuff... Bob Womack? Steve? I know you guys have an idea...

That's about right for a showroom-quality box.

I'll also go with the $1200-1500 figure, depending on geographic location; that said, unless you're truly strapped for cash (as in food/clothing/shelter) I'd buy a factory cover (if you don't have one already), fire it up a couple times a year just to make sure everything's in tip-top shape, and keep it in primo cosmetic/functional condition - those 45-50 year-old tubes are worth half the price (or more) of a new reissue all by themselves, and if you've got a jones for Deluxe Reverb tone and gig regularly you might be better served with one of those, in either '65 blackface or '68 silverface livery. BTW I've got a '64 Ampeg Rocket R-12A (chickenhead-knob top-panel/no 'verb, octal preamp/7591 power tubes) I bought in sixth grade and kept in similar condition: brought it into Dennis Kager's shop (in case you're not aware he's the last living link to the blue-check glory days of Ampeg) a couple years ago for a going-over, seems it was one of the first ones he worked on when he started at the Linden plant - and the guys in the shop thought it was a reissue until Dennis set them straight...

My favourite amp, wish I could afford one, reissue or vintage I don't mind...
