Put my deposit down on a Halcyon parlour (or possibly a 00) after I saw the sassafras on the beautiful Taylor Tobias Music had for sale. I ask Ed if he could do sassafras and he found some gorgeous blackhearted sassafras I couldn't pass up. I've picked Engelmann for a top to warm it up a bit. Looks like I'm in line...and there's a lot of waiting to do, but it should be one awesome guitar when Ed's finished.

That's great doxy! I can't wait to see the results. Keep us posted. Did Ed give your little creation a number? I don't know my number! Maybe I have to ask.

I don't know if I feel the same as gasworker. I'm ready for my little walnut guitar to arrive. Mostly because then I can stop thinking about upgrades like ebony fretboard and bridge.

Congratulations on what possibly could be the best decision you ever made in a guitar purchase. Not familiar with sasafrass tone so yours will be a unique build to say the least. As I understand it, the engelman should warm up the tone. Am loving my 000 in Primavera, lutz and zebra woods. The biggest problem I have had since it's arrival is feeling good about my guitars costing 2 to 3 times as much.

That's good to know. Not really sure I want to know. The whole package, including number, will be a good surprise when it finally arrives.

Upgrades

let me tell you#63 started out as rosewood Sitka with ebony FB and Bridge. It has gone to flamed walnut, Black Shaller tuners. I'm sure I would have been happy with D'Addario tuners but I like Schallers and I think the black will look cool with the flamed walnut and ebony. I also bought a TRIC case which I am a big fan of. I had Seagull Artist and I was traveling on a very hot day and had to attend a 5 minute meeting in London Ontario. 3 hours later I opened a roasting hot TRIC case and my Gull was as cool as when I put it in there. I was sold on the Thermally Regulated Instrument Case.
Ed is getting the headstock veneer made to his standards which I think are very high. I ordered in December and I will have it soon enough. I have and will continue to enjoy the anticipation.

(it dosnt hurt that I won a Ibanez Artist series guitar in a contest and I have playing it for a few weeks now)

That flamed walnut is amazing. Looking forward to having it in my hands. Looks like we ordered roughly around the same time - guessing you were a little earlier in December than I was.

Maybe Ed will put a picture up when its complete. The all black tuners may look awful but I don't think so.

I bet they will look sharp. I bet they would look good on mine too. But I don't need to think about anymore upgrades
