"Swanee river" using one finger chords.Singing while playing this primitive style came naturally to me.

My Dad soon tired of all the repetitions ......"enuff already!"

My friend told me you need to learn c, dm, em, f, g and am to play a lot of songs; learn them and I will get you started. I did and he taught me You ain't going nowhere, Four Strong Winds and All Along the Watchtower. What a revelation.

The first song I learned to play on the guitar was "The Kansas City Blues," which was appropriate because I was living in Kansas City at the time.

I Hung My Head - Johnny Cash

Excellent song, but it was a little hard to keep up with in the very beginning. My guitar teacher brought it in and helped me learn it.
