Bela Fleck & Abigail Washburn
I saw Bela and Abby perform last night at Kutztown University (PA).
If you like banjo music even a little bit, you owe yourself a treat of a ticket to this show. 8 banjos, and a marvelous musical mix of 3 finger and clawhammer style picking - wow wow and wow. Baby Juno was out for a few minutes before the show, listening to the bluegrass jam on the patio. After the show I had the chance to meet and chat with Bela and Abby personally. What a lovely sweet couple they are - just regular nice human beings with a boat load of talent between them. Banjo is my favorite other instrument besides guitar, and I'm not anywhere close to Bela's league of talent, but it sure is fun to listen and be freshly inspired to go practice! cheers yours in tune, amyFB

I'm jealous! Must have been a great show.
First time I heard Bela was with the Flecktones as the warmup group for Chicago. They were promoting their first album... |

I saw Bella years ago. He's one of the people who forces you to reevaluate your relationship to music. If you're doing it for any reason other than personal enjoyment of the whole process, he just might make you quit!
