I'll honor the sellers request and not bother him.

Quote from impending email:

"Wow! Cool guitar!! How long have you had it for? What type of strings did you use on it? What type of music do you play? What type of mahogany is it? And oh yea, last question...

Are you out of your mind asking 12 for something so banged up?"

My favorite part is that it's a "vintage" Taylor and will be worth $3,000 to $4,000 once it's fixed.

Didn't you know that everything costs 3 to 4 times as much in New York?

Eh- I understand the guy. I don't know about the price- looks high- but about asking questions...
A lot of you don't ever consider- there is just one of you asking questions, but the seller may be getting questions from many people. It can take a lot of time on the seller's part to answer. But not much time at all for each responder to ask.
And be honest- a whole LOT of people ask questions and take time from the seller with absolutely NO intention of buying what they are selling.
Many sellers don't want their time wasted by seemingly insincere tire-kickers. The truth.

So the guitar's not much good and the electronics need work. What's wrong with that? It looks like a good buy!

Good bye to your money.

It's NYC... Where you too can buy a 600 sq ft apartment for $1,000,000.
