Default Looking for a Guild F512 12 string

Anyone know where I can find a Guild F512 12 string? They don't seem to be in production right now. Thanks

I asked Cordoba-Guild some months back when the F-512 was planned to begin production.
They replied that production was scheduled for late this year with supplies in store early 2018.
If you check Elderly Instruments site they already list them.
Here's a link; https://www.elderly.com/acoustics/ac...-with-case.htm

The Taylor 858 Grand Orchestra is another seriously good large rosewood 12-string that might be worth trying out too.

Lol! I was actually looking at The Taylor 858 Grand Orchestra too. I wonder how close that sounds to the Guild

I haven't seen one here in Australia but I like the 858 specifications.
The new Grand Orchestra body replaces the jumbo.

The old jumbo was 17' wide and 4 5/8" deep.
The GO is 16 3/4" wide and 5" deep.

In other words, the Grand Orchestra is 1/4" narrower across the lower bout but 3/8" deeper than the old jumbo.

$2000 for this one ... quite in line with what a recent f512 usually goes for. Great guitars.
I bought one recently after also considering the new Taylor jumbo rosewood models.

That's a good looking New Hartford F-512.
You can tell straight away from the Gotoh open backed tuners they used.

Real question is, do you want a used one or holding out for new?

I sold one on Reverb last Spring and had to wait a bit for it to sell, priced reasonably...

The F512 is indeed the "King of the 12 strings," no other will do if that is what you are looking for. You might widen your search to include the F412 in maple, which is also a very nice guitar, and depending upon your need might in fact be a better fit. Also, the F5120 or whatever the highest Asian Guild is called, is very very close to the F512 and you save yourself $1K or more.

The New Hartfords have a slimmer neck, a dream to play; the Tacoma's have a thicker neck but better string spacing at the bridge if you are a fingerstyle player. Cannot comment on Corona or Westerly as I never played their F512's.

Good luck with your search, don't be dismayed, the thrill of the hunt is half the fun!

If NH, which I agree that Reverb one must be, why doesn't it have a pickguard? They weren't supplied-in-case, but delivered installed on the guitar...???

Maybe the original owner removed it, right away ?

Might even consider an Guild F412. I would imagine those would be brighter sounding.

They are brighter sounding. To me, the F512 is plenty bright as it is.

Like you, I was waiting for Cordoba to come out with their new F512 Guild 12-strings but I kept my eyes on Reverb and the AGF, too. I was able to buy a 2014 F512 at a fair price from the AGF Classifieds, and I am extremely happy with it.

This is a collection of 12-string songs from my YouTube channel if you are interested.

Best of luck!

Hi Glenn.
I went to your youtube page and watched several videos of you and your new Guild F-512.
Very nice work both vocally and instrumentally.
Your F-512 sparkles.

If you are happy to look for a 'used' 12-string their are 2 other models that I rank very highly as well as the Guild F-412 already suggested..

Taylor 855 - the older full size jumbo 12-string.
Martin Grand J12-40E Special - Martin's 1st full size jumbo, only 231 ever made.

My Martin Grand J12-40E Special on the left, red Guild F-412 on the right.
