Default While I Wait For You-Original

Hello folks.........gradually updating Soundcloud to tracks from the Autumn's Soul CD.
this is an recent version of one of my older pieces, While I Wait For You.

As sometimes happens, when composing, this brought out a distinct image in my mind of someone waiting for a loved one or perhaps a close friend at a train station.....never sure if they would arrive....hoping, wondering, wanting it to be, but never sure........
Having that "image" kind of brought this along and of course it carried the title when it came time to name it.

Played on a Tony Vines Artisan........dropped D tuning....capo 2.

Hope you enjoy!
Fred

Very nice Fred! Lovely composition and wonderful sound from that guitar!

I can hear the questions and the doubts and the hope in there...

Really nice tune, the guitar sounds great too, is it quilted sapele? I thought it was a maple guitar, very clear and sweet sound

Thanks so much, Glenn! The guitar seems to really like a mic! Not as loud as the Doerr and a bit less overtones, but that was what I was looking for when I got the Vines last March '16....with the idea of re-recording a number of songs from this latest batch. My ear didn't realize the quality of what the mic picks up with this guitar......I'm super pleased with it!
The composition is a favorite.........I've included it on several projects with slight changes for the endings.
Thanks for your words, Glenn!
Fred

Johan, thanks so much for taking a listen!
Yes, this is a '07 Tony Vines Artisan, purchased from an AGF member. It's Cedar/Quilted Sapele.
Tony recently completed the last guitar from this batch of Sapele, which he re-sawed himself out in California and brought home. That guitar is on sale at Guitar Gallery and has the exact same figuring of my Artisan.........really wonderful wood.
Thanks again!
Fred
