Default Why no compact multi-effects for vocals?

I started doing a search for a compact (think Zoom A3 or smaller) pedal specifically for vocals and all I could find are either gigantic monstrosities or small pedals with few features.

All I was hoping to find was a compact set and leave pedal with some compression and reverb. Ability to have a doubling setting would be a plus, but not a deal breaker.

Anyone know of a pedal that I've missed in my search?

I don't know what you consider compact, but the TC Helicon is a great piece of kit

Did some more searching yesterday and of what I've seen so far, I was thinking along these lines...

I gig with a TC Helicon Harmony Singer, that and the TC BodyRez are the only two bits of gear I wouldn't be without [emoji41]

I'd buy a TC Helicon Harmony Singer if they got rid of the harmony and replaced it with a compression. Not at all a fan of seeing one person on stage and two or three harmonies coming out of the speakers.

Can't believe there aren't more products in this size for singers when we've got ten billion for guitar.

Ummm... "doubling" is something you'd like, but a harmony vocal is bad?? The "harmony" is just doubling at a different pitch.

I used a TC Helicon Gxt for 7 years and last year switched to a TC Helicon Play Acoustic. You can have the doubling you want with either... nice reverb options... some very nice guitar effects with the Play Harmony... and you don't have to use the vocal harmonies. One pedal, no fuss. Of course, once you try the harmonies yourself, you may see things in a different light. I've had only good comments from listeners.

My take is: once you plug in and use a mic for vocals, you are now in the "sound shaping biz"... use as much or as little of any effect or option, but is no longer "a guy and a guitar" - you have to decide what works for you and what the audience might like.

In the last few years, the only comments I've gotten about the equipment or effects were from other players: one said, "Is that a carbon fiber guitar? It sounds great!"... another said, "That bit of chorus in the guitar is a nice touch."
