Anybody attent AES ?
So AES just got over and I was curious if any Recordists here were able to attend and if so did you find anything new and exciting? I was not able to go but got some email notifications of products being unveiled or promoted at the show and followed the AES thread on GS as well. Where the fist product below, lit up the forum with some 450 replies in the first 24 hours.
Two that I thought were really interesting albeit I'm sure high end and expensive, the first Daw controller is "Price to be announced" , a new 46" touchscreen DAW controller from Slate http://youtu.be/4HHiXqcyu2M And perhaps this has been out a while but the new flagship AT 5040 studio mic which has a MSR of $2999 and features a new 4 piece rectangular diaphragm http://www.audio-technica.com/at5040/

Totally wish I could go! Looks like a lot of fun stuff. The Slate console/thing looks crazy cool. I like that Daking is getting into the 500 series now too. The new DPA piano mics look neat to say the least. I just wish some of this stuff would be available now instead of just hype haha.
