You have to do a better job of convincing me than that.

Well, I sold my recording gear a few weeks back, so I can't give a review in that respect, but I bought a pair for running into the PA, and man they sound great. I them on the stereo bar, one pointed at the neck/body joint and one at the bridge about 10-12" away. I've had a lot of mics here, and some expensive ones, but these sound pretty incredible. Even just one pointed at the upper treble bout the same distance did a great job.

Question

Ok, perhaps this thread belongs in the Amplification (Electrified) section, since it does not involve recording.

The AKG C-1000 sounds OK on acoustic guitar through a PA. (I was surprised to learn after hearing it in the studio.) So there are definitely different horses for different courses. Most PAs are not particularly hi-fi.

I've had several of those over the years, and actually just sold one about a week ago after putting it back on the system. The sound I'm getting with the Behringers is in a whole other league....

from your replies I'm assuming you've had a pair and didn't like them?

ok, i bought them, but now i'm wondering what you would recommend them for - obviously acoustic guitars, but live work, studio work, or both?

I think they will be very good for both....I've been through MANY mics over the years and they are literally as good as anything I've used.

You may need to roll off on the high end a bit, but that's about it.
