The Guitar Trio
Hi everyone,
I just picked up an incredible CD. The title is The Guitar Trio. The Trio consists of Paco DeLucia, Al DiMeola and John McLaughlin (WOW! Talk about an all star team!). This album was made in 1996. The album consists of 9 tracks of all three playing nylon strings as a trio. Not only do all three show their incredible talents, the arrangements of these three incredible players are awesome. All three showcase their amazing playing while not outdoing each other or over playing. Some runs are so incredibly fast it will leave your jaw on the floor, although as fast as some of this playing is, it is so tasteful and musical (and to do it in three part harmony will leave you shaking your head!) This album is an incredible representation of contemporary nylon string playing by three outstanding musicians…. Simply amazing! Has anyone heard this album before?
