Acting out of justifiable caution equals prudence. The problem is that the fearful invariably claim their overreaction is merely a prudent one.

I'm not sure the people who swing the term "fear" around like a dead cat make that distinction.

There may be some cat corpse swingers here and there but when it comes to Daesh (ISIS), we have more than our share of scaredy-cats.
