Hi Guys, My first post here. I have pulled the trigger on this mint 80’s made in Japan Capistrano. Does anybody on this forum have one and is $350 to much? I will get it in the next few days. |

I have a Fender Capistrano that I bought in December of 1987. If yours is anything like mine, you should be very pleased with it. While it's not a Martin, the workmanship is excellent, it's very playable, and has a great sound. Admittedly I haven't played mine a whole lot, but it's still in pristine condition after 30+ years. Let me know what you think of yours.
BTW the price seems to be about right, especially for one in mint condition. Also the photo links aren't working, at least for me. Last edited by PackRatBill; 01-02-2018 at 04:00 PM. Reason: Add comments |

I bought a Capistrano in '85 and still have it, still play it on occasion, even with better guitars around. Nice neck and decent craftsmanship, and the solid spruce top has aged beautifully. $350 is a fair price, I think; they're pretty good guitars, far better than the Fender acoustic rep might indicate.
