Another advantage of carbon fiber: you can set it by a wood pile and not be concerned about termites!

One thing I forget to mention earlier. When I first played it, I was getting some fret buzz around the fretted strings. After a little research, I found that that is caused by user error. Apparently my kung fu grip style of playing was too aggressive for this guitar. I'm very happy to say that with the lightest touch, the strings sing out with no buzz. Another great reason to love this guitar.

Funny how all of us have to become sort of intimate with these guitars to coax out all that we can. Adapting to the guitar is one side of the equation and modifying it is the other. Glad you found what works better for you, Big John!
I recently tuned back up to concert pitch and then, after a few weeks, changed my strings to Elixer HD lights. The gauge choice originated with a Taylor guitar but seems to really work with my X20. The balance is, to my ear, even better and playing for my fingerstyle and strumming is better. I think Captain Jim had gone this route, earlier. This forum is a wealt5h of good information. Keep the HD Lights in mind, Big John.
