Default The Holy Tuner by Schenk Guitars

Hey everyone,
Does anyone have any experience with the Holy Tuner by Schenk Guitars? I tried a search and didn't see anything. Seems like a cool idea, but just wondering if anyone has hands on experience and can discuss accuracy, etc.

Here's the link on the Schenk Guitar website
http://www.schenkguitars.com/innovations/the-holy-tuner

And here's the link to the site for the tuner (although it doesn't seem very user friendly, at least with Chrome).
http://www.holytuner.com/

Thanks!
Spencer

Understatement of the year. It is equally unfriendly using IE 8.

That is possibly the most annoying website I have ever visited.

Does the Holy Tuner offer anything that the Snark or the Peterson doesn't offer ? Apart from invisibility to the audience, which isn't that big a deal IMO.

I'm using the Shadow Sonic tuner on a couple of my guitars. Mounts on the inside of the soundhole with velcro, and in use is stable and accurate like a Snark:

Costs just £30.

Actually, on second thoughts, it probably is in fact more professional (for stage work anyway) to have the tuner soundhole mounted rather than headstock mounted.

The Shadow Sonic sounds like an ideal solution, thanks for the link.

I haven't tried The Holy Tuner, but I have tried his ISD, and it was pretty cool. I have a soft spot for blinking lights, though.

I see the Shadow Sonic tunes by microphone rather than vibrations (like the Snark). Can any one tell how the Holy Tuner gets it's input? Steveyam, have you had any issues in loud environments?

I am wondering just how this tuner was sanctified.

They have a priest on staff at the factory. They also use him for exorcisms whenever there's some unexplained bug in the electronics...

Does the same company supply holy water for in-case sponge humidifiers?

I have not used it in a 'loud' situation. But what I can say is that it is VERY stable in use; no dithering etc. Also, remember it is mounted inside the guitar, so any outside interference is likely to me minimal compared to the guitar volume inside the guitar. If you want to try one before buying, they're fitted as standard on Epiphone's new J-45 copy with a solid top - the name of which I cannot remember - it's in my list of guitars below (that I cannot see now as I write this!).

Ken, I own a Schenk Ophirio with an ISD tuner. I love the ISD tuner. It's very convenient and accurate.
Unfortunetly, I'm not getting the same results from the Holy Tuner I installed on my Martin. It doesn't seem to be very accurate. I still have to pull out the Snark.

That's unfortunate, thanks for the report. Have you tried moving it around to see if a different location helps?

It might need resynching. When did you last take Communion?

It probably just needs an application of that "Duende" they carry over at Schenk Guitars.
