Default Bridge Pins

I am amazed that many higher priced guitars only come with plastic bridge pins. Be that as it may, I've modified my Martin D-35 with Tusq bridge pins. My other guitars I have never modified.

Have you swapped out your bridge pins? To what material? Might you be able to recommend a few vendors/artisans for bridge pins?

I ha dpreviously replace the plastic pins on my former Yamaha 12 string with ebony. I just replaced the plastic pins on my GS Mini with Ebony.

I will never ever again buy no-name chinese pins from eBay - sterotypical junk quality.

My motto on plastic bridge pins are the same as my opinions on stock tires.

I'll stick with stock until they wear out

Haven't had a plastic bridge pin wear out on me yet.

But if they do, I'd probably go Ebony,

Default Pinz

I installed a set of brass Pinz, found at: http://www.pinzuk.com/news_order-bra...ns-dollars.htm. They're quite beautiful. I was unable to hear a difference in the tone, but it's more fun seeing the guitar on the wall. And, therefore, more inviting.
