I picked up an FG-331 two weeks ago, 40 years old, and am absolutely blown away by the sound. I've been writing a lot of music on the 331. Love it. No neck issues at all - full, original saddle. Will be replacing the old plastic nut and saddle w/bone, by months-end. Wish mine was a solid-top! Good purchase. Enjoy immensely!!

Wow! Beautiful back on it. I didn't know the FG365S had a 3-piece back. I owned a FG375S for a while. I thought it was the same as the FG365S but with gold tuners. But now I see there are more differences than I realised. Your guitar looks in great condition.

It's in pretty remarkable shape. I plan to replace the saddle and the nut with bone or tusq, although I have a hard time believing the sound could be improved. The neck is perfect. I just can't wait to get it in front of a decent mic.

Was my main guitar back in the 80s. Did a ton of gigs with it. I've been looking for one in playable condition. I have a 340 and 450s but there is something special about the 365s.

Nice guitar, is it made in Taiwan?

Yes, it is made in Taiwan. I think the pick guard is original. Here is one for sale with the same guard

I have the EXACT same guitar including the (3) piece back. Yes it is the original pick guard.

This is not the first time we have heard very good things about an old Yamaha. It looks like you have found another one that has aged very nicely. It's not too bad in the looks department either.

does any one know what the "s" stands for, and what is the difference for a fg 375 s ii?

The S denotes solid top. Not sure about the difference in the models.
