Default Play classical while standing up? Putting peg on guitar for strap?

Due to hip problems, I can't play sitting down for more than 15 mintues. I've tried a number of different straps the purport to hold the guitar well enough for playing while standing up, but these just don't work for me. I can play, but with not enough precision.

Do any of you play classical while standing up?

Have any of you put a peg in your precious guitar so you can use a strap?

Thanks. ---geoff

Default Easy install

There are a few strings on this topic already:

From my search for the terms strap button. There are loads of end pin discussions as well, but the bottom line is that these are easily installed by anyone who knows what they're doing.

I have recently had some hip problems and because I play several different guitar styles, I have often played while standing. And I have installed strap pegs in my guitars, so I can use a strap. I have several nylon string guitars that allow me to be more comfortable using a narrower neck. It's difficult to handle a 2" nut when standing, but my Martin 000C Nylon hybrid has a 1-7/8" nut, and much more comfortable. It's as good an excuse as any to buy another guitar!

I like to stand and do when playing out with my cutaway acoustic/electric classical guitars (plugged in). They had end pins and buttons already.

I also feel more able to express myself during some passages. The moving is never planned, I just go with the flow of my emotions and it just happens.
Standing also works for me because I tend to look much too focused and serious while sitting.

Not sure I would modify my non-pickup classical guitar.
