Default Acoustic Open Mic, April 23, Dracut, MA

This is an acoustic Open Mic, not a ‘jam’. Electric instruments are ok, but no amps, please, just plug into the PA. No drum kits, either, but hand drums are welcome.
3 song minimum, sign-ups start at 6:45, 7-11pm. There’s a stage and a very good PA system. Cables and mikes are provided. If you need to borrow an acoustic guitar, let me know when you get there.

April 23 is the second ‘try-out’ date, and if the bar likes the turnout it will become a regular event on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month. The first try-out on April 9 had 11 players/duos come, so everyone who wanted to go again got a second round of 2 songs.

If you’re not a solo player, this is still a fun event to attend and a good opportunity to network with other musicians. If you’re a singer and would like someone to accompany you, let me know ahead of time.

Tonight! Bunch of 'new' people indicate they are attending (per the FB event page), but of course I am not sure if they are players or just bar patrons.
Very hopeful that this OM will be continued next month as the bar already has it posted on their online calendar!

SUCCESS!! Had 16 performers/bands last night (plus 2 who came late but couldn't stick around). This is now a twice-a-month regulatr event, 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month.
This is north of Boston, about a half hour from Boston, the seacoast or Manchester, NH so if you're in the area at any point ....
