2009 Bourgeois OMS 12-Fret in Italian/Maccasar Ebony
FINAL PRICE: $2,750
Top: Italian Spruce with some bear claw Back/Sides: Macassar Ebony Size: 000 Scale: 25.5 Neck: Modified V Nut: 1 3/4 Saddle: 2 5/16 Binding: Ziricote Tuners: Ebony Rosette: Abalone Bridge pins: Bone Price: $3,000 (Sorry, no trades) I’m selling my Bourgeois OMS 12-Fret on consignment at Vintage Instruments in Philadelphia here: http://vintage-instruments.com/navigate/catidx5.htm. I purchased the guitar a year or so ago from Artisan Guitars, and they still have the photos up here: https://artisanguitars.com/2009-bour...pruce-sku-6589. The top is darker now than it appears in the photos, and the bear claw more distinct. The photos also show two minor scratches on the top, and scratches on the pick guard. I had these buffed out by respected Philadelphia luthier Ron Ruggiero, and they’re almost invisible now. Ron also set up the action perfectly for both standard and DADGAD tuning. This is by far the most responsive guitar I’ve ever played, with clear highs, very focused bass and superb note separation in the midrange. I’m selling it only because I have two other 12-fret guitars in Adirondack, and I prefer the headroom it affords. I’ll miss the tone of this guitar, which is just gorgeous. Happy to answer any questions. Last edited by EricSchoeniger; 05-19-2015 at 02:33 PM. |

OddManOut, thanks for grabbing the photos from the website and posting them. They're making me think I need to have a conversation with my wife about why I need to hang onto this guitar. But alas ...

Price now lowered to $2,750. That's as low as it will go. At that price this should be a pretty irresistible guitar! With the bear-claw Italian top, Macassar Ebony back and sides, abalone rosette, and ebony tuners it would cost about twice that new.

I've had numerous PMs on this, but the guitar is still available on consignment at Vintage Instruments in Philadelphia (http://vintage-instruments.com/navigate/catidx5.htm) -- unless it happened to sell over the weekend and I haven't been informed yet. I must say that at this price it's an exceptional value for an exceptional guitar.
