Home of DMB, no?

I'm a big fan by the way, not a hater.

Well, officially he and his family live in Seattle, but most of us still consider C'ville to be his home base. His vineyard https://blenheimvineyards.com/ and mother still reside here....

Those gestures are called "stimming". Very common with those on the autism spectrum who use self stimulation as a way to manage an oversensitivity to external stimuli. Kudos to your club for being so accepting.

Same thing goes for folks who trivialize obesity and think that "don't eat so much" is somehow constructive advice for someone who is struggling with losing weight.

I saw something that made me laugh a little bit today - it went something like : remember your comments will be taken out of context when you run for office someday.

Didn't mean that. It's a place that tends to be accepting of those who are outside the mainstream, especially Virginia's mainstream, which tends to be pretty conservative...

And sometimes eating too much is the exact reason for their obesity.

Got it. Sorry, just that "people's republic" makes me think of places like the P.R. of China - places I would not want to live in (probably nobody in C'ville would either).

Well duh, obviously. But "don't eat so much" is not helpful advice to someone struggling with obesity.
