Default Mic'ing electric guitar video

Wasn't sure whether to put this here or in the record forum so I'll likely do both

Just got an email from Sweetwater this morning highlighting this video
I am assuming because I purchased an Electric Guitar Amp in Nov. Ha

Since I have yet to record my Electric I was interested

Amp micing is an art that I've yet to master (and have given up trying). It's a whole lot simpler to plug the Helix into the interface and get perfect tone from the get-go...

kev: as with everything on the agf, it is subjective. with headphones on move the mic around until you like the sound. check your levels and record.

Yes indeed the reason I have not recorded is that I have only actually recorded once since getting the Electric not because of reluctance . Most of professional engineers I know, seem to feel it is a bit more difficult to record acoustic than electric.
I just thought the video was interesting and worth posting.
