Default NAD-Marshall Code 25....

Got a great deal on one. Why do I need another amp ?? This one specializes in Marshall tones and has downloadable presets.....the downloadable presets are like gold to me. The Fender GT40 amp has shown me the benefits of user presets from other users. The Fender specializes in Fender tones...So Now i'll have the best of both worlds.

Beside, for the price I got it at it was a no brainer. It'll be here next week.

By the way, the Fender GT40 is a great amp. I love it. The Tone app that comes with it is working great for me on my iPod. The iPod will also control the Marshall Code amp. I already have the Code app on my iPod.

I'm starting to think so too !!

I just scrolled thru the list of user community presets with the code amp, looks like there's some real gems here too !!

I've learned a lot using the Fender GT amp....same basics apply with the Marshall too. I've already mastered the learning curve for the Fender and the Marshall looks like a piece of cake now.

The reviews have been very good. Looking forward to your review...

I used to have a Valvestate half stack. They do solid state distortion well!

Last night I looked over some of the presets for the Marshall Code, and there's a lot more of them than there is for the Fender GT series. If the User Code presets are as good as the Fender ones, I'll be very happy, because the User Fender presets are fabulous.

I bought an 8" Android tablet for the Marshal Gateway software for the Code 25 amp. The app loaded right up and appears to be working fine.

You are on a roll...looking forward to hearing more about it. Have you tried the Katana? I was very intrigued with head with the built in speaker.

Cheers...

I looked at the Kantana but wasn't interested for some reason. Right now I'm all about presets from community members, these guys are coming up with some very cool sounding stuff. The only way to access these presets is to have the GT and Code amps, and the apps to download them.

Well the Marshall Code 25 is here. First thing I did was to try recording with the USB connection....complete success on the first try, sounded great !! Next thing was to get the Bluetooth connected. First I connected to the iPod, then to the Android. A little bit of a delay but both worked. Next was to see if the Marshall Gateway program would sync up to the amp, no problem. I was able to control the presets and settings on the amp right away. I recorded into Cakewalk and Adobe Audition and both sounded great !!

Bottom Line is...I got a like new Code 25 now and it rocks. I'm very happy with it. I can use this for recording with minimum problems and get great sounds. getting quality guitar sound recordings can be a hassle sometimes, but this amp makes it easy. No regrets here !!!

Cool, that sounds like a ton of fun. What do those go for on the used market? And are you able to get pretty good distortion tones at the lower volumes?

Cheers...

I got mine for $130 + 12.00 shipping...

Having some Bluetooth issues with now. Doesn't want to connect now. It did before but maybe my batteries are low in my devices I don't know what the issues is.

It does sound good at low volumes and sounds great when recorded into my DAW.

MM, congrats on the amp! I'm a big Marshall fan although I admit I'm not familiar with the Code 25 (or their solid state amps). I'm going to give it a look at next time I'm at the guitar shop. Enjoy!

Thanks, just be aware that you might have Bluetooth problems with the software....it's far from perfect. The amp though does sound good.
