Default Holeyboard Pedalboards

Anyone here use these?
I understand that it uses zip ties instead of adhesive or Velcro which I'm not too crazy about.
Thanks.

I use a Holey Board with Velcro. It makes it easier to change things as needed. I tried using the tie wraps and they worked pretty good but that's for a more permanent build.

It's an older board, I think they called it the extra wide. I believe they are making them bigger and out of aluminum now days. I got the heavy duty 2" wide Velcro from Sweetwater in a 7 foot roll. It was just enough to do a great job.

Excellent.
I'm looking to get one of the old models, not the new aluminum.
I like the look of the birch ply.
Thank you so much.

Mine was birch but I stained it with a rosewood stain. I really liked the circular layout of it. Plus the two tier works out great for me.

I like the color stain.

That was the main thing I liked about the board.

Just bought the standard in red. They have a closeout sale.

Thanks.

Zip ties are cool as long as you have something to cut them with and spare zip ties. Then you don't have to deal with sticky velcro. pluses and minuses for each type I think.

I use small diagonal cutters to cut my ties. If you look close you see I also use little square black stickies that have slots in them for ties for tying up wires. You can get them at lowe's, etc... they stick onto the wood and provide a mounting source to tie up your wires to make them look neat. I also use wire ties to tie up slack wire, and to mount the power strips.

I used to be a professional wireman for Rockwell Automation and custom wiring was my specialty. It was imperative to us to make the wiring look as neat as possible.

It's a very neat looking board. The light is a nice touch. Is the light plugged into the power source on the board or is AC?
Thanks.

The LED light is a 110 VAC lamp I got at Lowe's. It has a nice gooseneck on it to adjust it as needed.

+1. I'd like to have the holeyboard and use zip ties. I used zip ties on my pedal board years ago. That was just a piece of plywood with little feet on the end (for angled height) painted black with some small holes drilled in it. I'm still using it now but have velcro instead.
