I'm watching Pens vs Jackets. First intermission 0-0. Surprisingly (or maybe not) Fleury started in goal for the Pens. Murray scratched after warmups. Pens AHL goaltender Tristan Jarry is the backup for the game.

Just saw Bruins and Sens are 0-0 with about 12 minutes left in the second period.

What's up with Murray? I missed why he was scratched after warmups. Nagging injury?

I'm so glad that we still have Fleury! Let's go Pens!

Boy, and how!! He played a great game tonight making 16 saves in the first period when the Jackets were dominating the play. Pens win 3-1!!

Not sure about Murray. Speculation was he may have pulled something in warmups. I suppose we may get some info on him after the game, but during the playoffs teams are usually very stingy about revealing anything injury related.

The Bruins picked a great time to finally win a game against Ottawa. I was worried that the Senators 1-3-1 zone was going to make for a boring game, but it was a barn burner through out. Great atmosphere.

Tukka Rask kept the B's in it. And how about 19 year old Charlie McAvoy making not just his playoff debut, but his NHL debut. He was second in ice time and fit right in. Awesome.

Charo lead the team in ice team, but man, he still scares me. He's so slow. And that little no-look backward pass along the end boards. He's gotta stop doing that, he almost got burned once, and he did it repeatedly. Marchand stunk for most of the game. And then he didn't. Woo-hoo. I still hate him though.

That was a cheap hit on Colin Miller, and they can't afford to lose him. They're already down Krug and Carlo on D. He came back, but then he left again. Didn't look good.

If that win wasn't enough, the Canadians also lost. It doesn't get any better than this. I occasionally hopped over to the Celtics, last regular season game and if they won (they did) they finished 1 in the East. Boring. I have a hard time watching both the NBA and March Madness these days. Especially when the NHL playoffs start. Best playoffs in all of Pro Sports, not even close.

Well the torture for the Caps begins tonight. I believe the expectations for Washington are the highest for any team in the playoffs. Second year in a row winning The President's Trophy (kiss of death?) and a team stacked to the rafters with talent. On paper they look to be the cream of the crop but the weight of expectation may be their undoing. One thing for sure is that the Maple Leafs won't have that to contend with, and will be playing with house money.

The President's Trophy sure doesn't often translate into post-season success. In the last 10 years, only 2 went home with the Cup. And 4 (!) lost in the very first round:

Go Blues! They stole that game last night with only 26 shots to 52!
